What’s new and what’s coming soon.

So as you are all aware (or should be by now), we are currently tackling a MAJOR overhaul of our entire website, products, services and business. The existing website has been around for about 5 years now and served us very well in that time. We need to move with the times however and this means we need to bring the website into the present day with a more modern looking website and keep our products and services up to date.

So we are giving you a few lists below, The first is what is new with the old site while we work on the new site, and what changes has been made so far. The next list is what will be new in the new site as soon as it’s launched. Then the last list will show what should be coming very soon after the launch of the website.

What’s changed so far?

  1. Our website has had a few pages changed, very subtle changes that you’ll probably not even see.
  2. We have added a temporary live chat system from our sister company to handle some live chat stuff while we wait on the new website which has it’s own stand alone live chat.
  3. Some of the hosting services have been scaled up specification wise, and priced down a bit to meet modern day needs.
  4. The new brand has creeped its way onto the old website to allow people to get familiar with it so they have something to recognise when the new site launches.

What’s just round the corner with the new site & service etc?

  1. We are extremely excited with the new design, it’s modern, attractive and very clean.
  2. If you feel the need, you’ll now be able to ‘geek-up’ on our network with a dedicated network page telling you who our bandwidth suppliers are and detailed drawings of the datacentre. 
  3. The new site comes with a fancy navigation which includes drop down menus, and a drop down live chat icon that the icon isn’t taking up valuable web page space.
  4. The new site will have an advertising space at the top which will display all our internal adverts along with selected 3rd party adverts which anyone can request to advertise on (but there are restrictions as to what we’ll allow on there).
  5. New products and services. Better packages, better prices, new names for each product and service. Some of the services are almost the same, but tweaked to be much better, we listened to your feed back and we hope you see that in these new products.
  6. On the website, you’ll see that you can initiate an order from any page of the website (unlike the old website). 
  7. The new site comes with it’s own built in powerful search engine.
  8. More domains are now available to order, all of which are automated for instant setup.
  9. As before, all hosting accounts (shared and reseller level) are instantly activated but the process has been tweaked to work better.

What should we expect in the future from L&M Hosting?

  1. We plan to upgrade the processors on all servers to AMD HEXA Core X6 Processors along with upgrading the RAM to almost double what exists currently.
  2. We hope to be launching an amazing site builder application which we used to offer but took away to technical issues which has now been almost resolved. This application allows you to have stunning, modern websites with built in photo galleries, shops, and blogs.
  3. Pre-installed applications will be ready to launch very soon where you can buy hosting and select an application you want pre-installed. Once you make the payment our system will send you confirmation of payment and the application will be instantly automatically installed and your account live all within a matter of 2 seconds or less!
  4. We understand that not every buyer will find what they need on our site, which is why we are also very close to launching a ‘build your own’ hosting package. You’ll be able to specify how much space, the amount of bandwidth required, number of FTP accounts, email accounts, databases etc. and configure your perfect hosting package.
  5. Video tutorials were available a few years back with our Plesk hosting which we no longer offer. We will very soon see the return of the video tutorials for Cpanel, WHM, and a few other things you may need help with.
  6. We are almost ready to launch a forum for customers to have open discussions on.
  7. We’ll be back advertising in the UK’s best web design magazine, webdesigner! With 2 new adverts every month.

L&M Hosting Launch the new brand

L&M Hosting officially launched the new logo. The release of the new logo is a step towards the complete makeover of the entire company. The new website is just about complete, although there has been a few delays to the original launch date due to adding more major functionality that will benefit the customers. We took the decision to add these before releasing the new site so everything all comes at one time. We are also taking a look at exciting new seriously competitive packages.

The official launch date of the new website has still not been finalised but as soon as we have an idea of the date, we’ll make a new post along with updating you on what else you should expect.
